a new direction needed

On May 5, 2004, The Center for American Progress, a progressive think tank, released a report, Iraq: A Strategy for Progress (PDF). The New York Times today endorsed the report on its Editorial page.

The President's Speech

A good start, first put forward by the Center for American Progress in Washington, is to go much further in internationalizing the next phase of the Iraq operation.

After seeing the speech by President Bush last night (blah blah blah new prison blah blah blah), it's obvious no one in the White House has read it. Maybe if an intern at the Heritage Foundation had been the author, the administration would have given it a glance.
