Washington Group International Team Wins Contract to Perform up to $1.5 Billion Of Services Supporting the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Iraq and Elsewhere
Washington Group International, Inc. announced today that it has been selected for a contract to provide a variety of design, engineering, and construction services to the Transatlantic Programs Center of the United States Army Corps of Engineers throughout Central Asia, North Africa and the Middle East.

Under the terms of the indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract, Washington Group and its partner, Black & Veatch Corporation of Overland Park, Kansas, will be awarded specific assignments to support the Corps of Engineers over the next five years. The work is confined to the U.S. Central Command area of operations which includes Iraq and 24 other countries from the Horn of Africa through Central Asia. The contract has a monetary ceiling of $500 million for the first year. It also includes four one-year options, each with a $250 million ceiling.
Same old same old. More of the same folks getting the contracts. It would be very exciting to see someone new come onto the stage.

Maybe now that Canada can bid on contracts, we'll see some fresh faces.
