out like a lion

Holy merde! The last day of March and the articles and Op-eds are just flying out of computers and onto the web. Ouch. And more ouch. Donald Rumsfeld is taking a beating in the press from just about everyone. Expect to see some heated offensive replies tactics in the next few days as he tries to carry his ball forward. A few of the yowzers:

The Washington Monthly has a new piece by Joshua Micah Marshall, Practice to Deceive: Chaos in the Middle East is not the Bush hawks' nightmare scenario--it's their plan..

The Boston Globe ran an article by Ruben Navarrette Jr. now posted on Commondreams.org The Cheney Connection

Counterpunch has a Wayne Madsen article that is hard to believe is in print, except I saw it with my own two eyes. Berating generals: The Siege of Washington

The New Yorker for the April 7th issue continues with exposes by Seymour Hersh who shows no signs of letting up on Rumsfeld. Annals of National Defense: Offense and Defense

Truthout runs a multiple choice Iraq War Quiz By Stephen R. Shalom. Test your knowledge and learn some facts complete with footnotes for accuracy.

One day late, from March 30th, a reminder on what Gary Hart said. From the Denver Post, an article by Diane Carman Gary Hart's Words May Haunt Us - Again

And for JP, The Onion gets closer and closer to crossing the line of not being parody anymore. They just report it like it is.

Nothing yet from William Safire. But you never know....as Rumsfeld likes to remind everyone, the wars still young.
